Woodland Heights Makers’ Day Information for Vendors

An arts & crafts event sponsored by the Woodland Heights Civic Association to benefit the Woodland Heights Food Closet. Register to participate today!

Woodland Heights Baptist Church
611 W. 31st St. Richmond, VA 23225
Saturday, November 5, 2022;   10:00 am – 2:00 pm

We’re very happy to have you as a participant in this event and hope it is an enjoyable time for you. The event benefits the Woodland Heights Food Closet, which serves friends and neighbors in need of food items.

The entire amount (100 percent) of the vendor registration fees will be donated to the food closet to ensure the closet has enough food to help neighbors in need. Vendors will keep all of their sales proceeds from the event. A donation jar will be available on-site for customers and vendors who wish to contribute to the food closet.

VENDOR GUIDELINES

This is a rain or shine event. In the case of extreme weather, check the Woodland Heights Civic Association website for the event status.

This is a fundraising event. Your registration fee ($20 for adult vendors; $5 for youth vendors) is non-refundable unless the show is canceled. We ask that you not share a table with another vendor unless each of you has paid the full registration fee.

The product(s) you sell must be handmade.  Doors will open at 8:00 am on Saturday for you to begin setting up. You may park in the church’s parking lot to unload, but please do not set up your exhibit until you move your car and park on the street.  We don’t want to block other vendors from unloading and want to ensure adequate and convenient space for patrons. The church is accessible by way of a ramp in the parking lot where you unload. There will be volunteers available to help you unload. You are asked to have your display fully set up by 9:45 am.

You will have an assigned vending space. All vendors will be on the ground floor. You are responsible for bringing your own table(s)/chair(s) to fit within the 6×6 space. If you need additional room, you may purchase 2 adjacent spaces for $35. If you are in need of a 6ft table, you may rent one for $5 as indicated on the application. All vendors are also responsible for their own table covering.

If you are selling large items such as metal yard art, we can arrange for you to set up in the parking lot, weather permitting.

Complimentary fresh brewed coffee provided by the church and donuts from Krispy Kreme will be available for vendors prior to the start of the show. YUM!

You are asked to remain with your display fully set up for the entire length of the show, 10 am – 2 pm.  Please clean up your space and the area around you before leaving.

You are responsible for your own sales transactions. Be prepared with enough money to make change for the cash sales.  There is Wi-Fi service in the building.

If you must cancel out of the show, please let us know as soon as possible as we will attempt to fill the space.

Help us advertise this event to your friends by word of mouth and social media. All of us working together will help make this event a great success for each other and for the Woodland Heights Food Closet.  Thank you again and we look forward to being with you on November 5!

Sincerely,

The Woodland Heights Makers’ Day Planning Committee
