|Please join us for a special WHCA meeting to hear from Joseph Lawson, realtor and developer, about plans for the property at 3101 Porter St. / 310 W. 31st St., formerly an assisted living facility, in our neighborhood. |
Joseph will share a presentation on the plan to purchase and redevelop the property as an apartment building with 19 units, which will include a request to the City of Richmond for a Special Use Permit (SUP). The plan includes the reuse of the existing structure with a full renovation of the entire building to include 14 one-bedroom units, 4 two-bedroom units, and one 3-bedroom unit, as well as amenities, including a small gym, mail room, and package room.
The original house on the property is featured in the plans – the front addition will be converted to an open-air terrace showcasing the house from W. 31st St. A parking study is in progress, and plans include off-street parking behind the building, as well as street parking.
Joseph has reached out to surrounding neighbors and the Woodland Heights Civic Association to garner support for the plan and SUP request, and we hope you can join us for his presentation and a thoughtful discussion of the redevelopment plans.
