Pedestrian Safety Improvements
Potholes, non-working lights, sidewalk damage, and signage in need of replacement or repair can be reported to RVA 3-1-1. Our volunteer-driven Safety Committee reviews neighborhood infrastructure and reports problems to the City of Richmond, and all neighbors can help by reporting issues as they see them.
Improved pedestrian and bicycle safety is a significant need in our community. Traffic calming measures to improve the safety of our streets and sidewalks are imperative. Our association continues to work with city officials to make our neighborhood safer for our community members.
We continue to get updates from the City to respond to our concerns about safety at and around the intersections of Forest Hill and Semmes Avenues and 34th St. at Patrick Henry School for Science and Arts. Documentation from active transportation grants is below.
