Context: Woodland Heights, one of Richmond’s earliest streetcar suburbs (1890), became part of the city in 1914. Our historic district has been on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register since 2009.

We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day in Woodland Heights with a family-friendly evening making cards for the Richmond Fire Station 17 crew and the Metro Richmond Flying Squad! Supplies (and a few sweet treats) will be provided.
Join us at the Woodland Heights Baptist Church on Thursday, February 13 at 6:30 p.m. A brief Woodland Heights Civic Association update will be provided, followed by this fun activity!
The volunteer-driven event was held on Saturday, November 9 at the school on Semmes Avenue, and more than 25 artists and crafters, including students from Patrick Henry School of Science & Arts, participated in the event. Artists kept 100% of their sale proceeds. Vendor registrations, event sponsorships, and community member donations contributed to the $4,000 raised for the school. The annual arts and crafts festival is back this fall, and the volunteer-driven event returns to Patrick Henry School of Science & Arts (PHSSA). Join us on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at PHSSA to shop and socialize with your neighbors!
More than 25 artists and crafters, including students from PHSSA, are registered to participate, and 100 percent of their registration fees will be donated to PHSSA! Artists keep 100 percent of their sale proceeds.
